Brief To help positively raise awareness of athletics and encourage interest and advocacy amongst sports fans, while giving a counterpoint to the perception that all athletics is tainted by cheating and drug abuse.

Solution Haymarket Network has produced a new media vehicle to transmit the real meaning of athletics that aims to increase participation in the sport leading up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and beyond.

Result Spikes was launched in early July 2008, and currently has around 12,500 subscribers. It has also attracted an extraordinarily positive review from The Observer.
