Football fans recently jumped at the opportunity to be part of
Sky Sports Magazine when they responded in record numbers to an invitation to share their views with the title.
As part of its annual Football Fan survey,
Sky Sports Magazine asked people to join its reader panel. They enlisted 5200 panellists – more than double the number who joined in 2008.
The reader panel gives readers the opportunity to review magazine features and participate in polls each month. The editorial team use comments from the panel to get a better perspective on what fans think of football events and news.
Responses were also up for the online Football Fan survey, which covers football’s biggest issues including foreign player quotas, salary caps and transfer windows. More than 6500 people responded compared to 5100 in 2008, when the survey was first introduced.
Editor Ryan Herman said: “We’re delighted that our readers are so keen to get involved in
Sky Sports Magazine – it’s incredibly important for us to stay in touch with their views. The reader panel is an exciting way to create a community that helps us offer even more relevant and engaging features and discussions to our readers.”
