Last night at the 2nd Digital Magazines Awards 2011 Haymarket Network won Best Motoring Magazine for the Jaguar Magazine iPad app.
Up against a strong field including the magazines produced for BMW and Volkswagen, the judges said about Jaguar: “It is classy, well designed, clear and easy to read. Beautifully designed.”
Haymarket Network MD, Andrew Taplin commented, “we are thrilled by this recognition, judged against peers across the consumer and branded content industries, but most exciting are the tangible results we’re seeing for the client. The apps are not only a great brand experience but they lead very directly to brochure requests, test drives and car purchase. And without giving anything away, we have some very ambitious plans in this space for the coming year”.
Art Editor, Tim Scott said “It’s great for Network and Jaguar, that a product that we really believe in has been recognised as the best around especially given the strength of the other nominees on the shortlist.”
The DMAs, which were held at the London College of Communication, also recognised other Haymarket Network achievements, with David Burton and Tim Scott shortlisted for Editor of Year and Designer of the Year.
There were also nominations for London Prepares and Castrol Racing Ezine in the Sport and Sport and Motoring categories respectively.
